On Friday evening, May 31^st, 2019, His Holiness Aram I received the Armenological department students of the Catholicosate of Cilicia, in Bikfaya. The students had gathered to listen to His Holiness’ talk on contemporary theological matters.

In his remarks, His Holiness stated that it is not possible to give a brief analysis on theological matters; therefor, he introduced the gist of the subject allowing the students to raise their questions and start discussions.

During the discussions, Aram I talked about theology vis-à-vis other sciences, and shed light on different theological readings, as well as made a comparison between Christianity and Islam. He then talked about Theology’s approach to environment and said that it is neglected due to the growth of economic and agricultural affairs. The Catholicos also talked about the good and evil, Trinity, revelation,  incarnation, among others.
