HIS HOLINESS ARAM I RECEIVED THE PARTICPANTS OF THE WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY

On Tuesday, June 19th, 2018, His Holiness Aram I welcomed the participants of the Women’s Bible Study in the Main Hall of the Catholicosate, where more than 100 women had gathered to receive His Holiness’ blessings.

The Women’s Bible Study is a weekly gathering taking place at the St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral, under the supervision of the Christian Education Department.

The gathering began with the Lord’s Prayer and psalm and prayers recitation by the participants. Following this, the director of the department Bishop Meghrig Parikian delivered the welcoming remarks. He gave a brief account of the previous year’s agenda, underlining their challenges and the achievements, and thanked all those who had dedicated their time and energy for the success of the program.

After his speech, a bouquet of flowers was offered to His Holiness on the occasion of his priesthood ordination.

His Holiness Aram I gave his pontifical speech. He congratulated the participants of the bible Study for attending the study groups despite their busy lives, and commended Bishop Meghrig Parikian for his perseverance in organizing and conducting the Bible Study. His Holiness then talked about the importance of prayers in our daily lives and underlined three essential thoughts in the Christian way of life: knowledge of God, participation in church life and living by God.

At the end of the meeting, the participants had the chance to ask His Holiness their questions.

The meeting ended with a group photo in front of the Cathedral.
