On July 10^th, 2018, the director general of ARMENPRESS News Agency Aram Ananyan visited His Holiness Aram I in Bikfaya. Present in the meeting were also chief editors of Lebanese Armenian daily newspapers: Shahan Kandaharian(Aztag), Sevag Hagopian (Zartonk) and Ani Yepremian (Ararad), as well as V. Rev. Bedros Manuelian, head of the Information and Communication Department at the Catholicosate, and Rev. Hovaguim Panjarjian, staff at the same department.

During the meeting, they discussed the current situation in Armenia, issues regarding the Armenia-Diaspora cooperation and the role and challenges of the Armenian media in Armenia and the Armenian Diaspora. His Holiness stressed that besides the Armenian Church and the school, the Armenian news media has a pivotal role to play in preservation of the Armenian identity and the Armenia-Diaspora cooperation.
