On Monday 15 May 2017, Catholicos Aram I, accompanied by the Rev Bedros Manuellian, Director of Communication and Information, and Rev Friar Hovaguim Panjarjian, staff holder. The Catholicos will be joined later by Bishop Shahé Panossian, Prelate of Lebanon, Very Reverend Mesrob Sarkissian, Pontifical Vicar for the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, and Mr Hrayr Soghomonian, representing the Economic Council of the Catholicosate.

His Holiness will anoint the newly constructed St Vartanantz Church and inaugurate the new prelacy. He will also visit the Armenian school, meet the community, and address the faculty and students at Kuwait University. To conclude his pontifical pastoral visit, the Catholicos will meet with the representatives of the Armenian Church Council of Kuwait and the delegates to the National Assembly of the Catholicosate.
