The Regional conference brought together representatives of international organizations, Muslim institutions, representatives of Churches, university professors and the media to discuss the topic, “Interreligious Dialogue on Diversity, Tolerance and Social Cohesion in the Arab Region.” Very Rev Housig Mardirossian, the Ecumenical Officer, attended the conference representing the Armenian Catholicosate of Cilicia.

During the session on the topic ‘Reviving and Activating Interreligious Dialogue in the Arab Region – Agenda, Mechanisms and Tools,’ V. Rev. Housig transmitted the greetings of His Holiness Aram I and assured them of the commitment of the Catholicosate of Cilicia to interreligious dialogue. He then addressed the topic from a Christian perspective, speaking of the important values of peace and love of one’s neighbor; he then urged the Christian and Muslim representatives to voice their common values through dialogue.
