6-13 October 2016, Archbihsop Nareg Alemezian attended the meeting of the Department of Faith and Order of the WCC, on behalf of the Catholicosate of Cilicia. He was joined by 30 other clergy and lay theologians representing the Eastern and Oriental Orthodox families of Churches in the region. The meeting proposed a statement outlining the Orthodox contribution to the document on the ‘Common Understanding of the Church’, which is to be adopted by the World Council of Churches.
