28 December 2015. On Monday evening at St Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral, the Armash choir of the seminary presented a programme of Christmas and other Armenian Spiritual hymns. The Dean Rev Torkom Donoyan thanked His Holiness for his support and presence and welcomed the audience.

The choirmaster Rev Karekin Shekherdemian introduced the 15 hymns in the programme and explained the title of the Concert “Thanks be to God, Christ’s Birth the Epiphany.” Ms Hasmig Kasparian accompanied the choir on the piano.

Catholicos Aram I concluded the evening by thanking the dean, the choirmaster, the pianist and the students, and said that the seminary, located at St Mary’s monastery, not only trains the minds in theology and Armenian studies, but also sustains the spirituality of the church and the culture of the nation. Before the final blessing, he invited everyone to support the seminary so that it might continue its mission in the diaspora.
