11 December 2015. On Friday evening, His Holiness Aram I opened the Christmas Bazaar in Antelias. The purpose of the bazaar was to raise funds and share the joy of Christmas with families in need by distributing food parcels and toys to children. The articles for sale revived the Armenian cultural and culinary tradition.

The visitors were shown a video of ACUSA’s humanitarian work and then welcomed by the president of the committee, Mr Hovig Hagopian, in Armenian and Ms Cynthia Arabguirian in Arabic.

His Holiness Aram I congratulated the members of the Association for organizing the bazaar, which had a humanitarian and an educational dimension. He then described ACUSA as an important aspect of the mission of the Catholicosate of Cilicia “to help youth practice two essential spiritual values of Christian Diakonia: love and sharing.”
