While in New York, His Holiness Aram I met with representatives of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He was asked to include the Cilicia Museum in an exhibition to take place at the Metropolitan Museum in 2017. The Catholicos was told that the treasures of the Cilicia Museum of the Catholicosate illustrate the dialogue between the ancient cultures of the Mediterranean and the Middle East and also demonstrate the impact of Asian and European civilizations on Cilicia.

The Catholicos expressed his consent and as an expression of his appreciation, invited the representatives to visit the Cilicia Museum in Lebanon.
