The Armenian Church takes part in the Eastern and Oriental Orthodox Dialogue meeting

After several years, the dialogue meeting between the two families has resumed. The meeting was held 24-25 November 2015 in Comotini, Northern Greece. His Holiness Aram I and the Ecumenical Patriarch, His Holiness Bartholomew, had met in Greece earlier, where they discussed the urgency of this meeting.

The Armenian Church was represented by Archbishop Yeznik Bedrossin, from the Holy See of Etchmiadzin, and Archbishop Sebouh Sarkissian and Very Rev. Housig Mardirossian (observer), from the Holy See of Cilicia. The main item of the agenda was discussion of the status of the Christological document of 1990 adopted by the two families of Churches.

The meeting ended with a joint communiqué affirming the importance of overcoming prejudices in local communities and arriving at a consensus.
